RED DESERT | SIMPSON DESERT | QLD - The sand of the Simpson Desert is a brilliant red and even the lower side of the clouds carry a red glow that is reflected from the sand below. The warm glow added a little magic to a perfect image. This photograph alone made the 3500 km return trip very worthwhile.
